DJ Earworm’s Softer Side

DJ Earworm has definitely established himself as one of the best mash-up artists around. In terms of notoriety, I’d go as far to put him on top of Girl Talk in many ways– his “United State of Pop” tracks are easily the most famous mash-ups each year. Fortunately, he produces tons of other music besides that annual mash we all know and love. Here are a few of his alternative mash-ups…I definitely recommend checking them out.

The first track combines Paul Simon’s “Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes” with “Brazil”, a tune by three-fingered jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt (who can honestly out-shred most 5-fingered guitarists). The second mash-up combines Elton John’s cover of the Beatles’ “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” with “Come” by Lemon. It’s awesome to see this side of Earworm…I hope he produces more mash like this. He has in the past, and you can find all of them on his site (where you can download them all for free as well).
